What is Ontario's Drive Clean program, and does my truck need it?
Drive Clean is Ontario's mandatory emissions testing program for heavy-duty diesel vehicles — trucks, buses, and other commercial vehicles over 4,500 kg — required to renew vehicle registration. Len's Clean Air is an accredited Ontario Drive Clean Heavy Duty Vehicle Emissions Test Facility, so our test results are officially recognized for registration renewal.
What does mobile diesel emission testing mean?
Instead of driving your truck to a shop and waiting, our accredited technicians bring the testing equipment to you — your yard, depot, or job site anywhere in Greater Sudbury and Northern Ontario. We run the certified Drive Clean test on-site and issue results the same day, so your vehicle stays working instead of sitting in a queue.
What is DPF cleaning and how do I know if I need it?
A diesel particulate filter (DPF) traps soot from your engine's exhaust. Over time it fills with soot and ash, which restricts airflow, triggers frequent regen cycles, hurts fuel economy, and can eventually derate the engine or fail an emissions test. Warning signs include a lit DPF/check-engine light, reduced power, poor fuel mileage, or excessive regens. Professional cleaning removes that trapped soot and ash and restores the filter close to its original performance — usually far cheaper than replacement.
